Secured increased state funding for local schools and additional regional transportation aid for Chariho.
Increased support for students with disabilities and students from low-income families.
Strengthened career and technical education programs to prepare students for good-paying careers.

Helped secure investments that stabilized Rhode Island hospitals.
Expanded Behavioral Health Mobile Response Teams for youth.
Invested in the 988 Crisis and Suicide Lifeline.
Supported reforms to strengthen primary care access.
Increased funding for community-based services supporting seniors, children, and people with disabilities.
Invested in modernizing healthcare infrastructure and critical medical equipment.

Proven Results

Expanded the Social Security tax exemption for more Rhode Island seniors.
Created a refundable Child Tax Credit to help working families.
Increased access to affordable childcare and strengthened childcare providers.
Invested nearly $3 million to address food insecurity.
Increased support for Meals on Wheels, community senior programs, and nursing homes.

Protecting Our Environment and Our Future

Our natural resources are part of who we are. Protecting them today means preserving our quality of life for generations to come.

I helped advance a statewide Green Bond that will:

Strengthen coastal resilience and reduce flooding.
Improve drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.
Protect open space, farmland, parks, and natural habitats.
Clean up contaminated properties for redevelopment.
Improve stormwater systems.
Expand trails and public access to outdoor recreation.
Invest in environmental restoration across Rhode Island.

Extended the statute of limitations for survivors of child molestation.
Established a commission to study the impacts of social media on children.
Strengthened protections in sensitive locations such as schools and courthouses while preserving due process.
Advanced oversight and transparency regarding ICE enforcement activities in Rhode Island.
